Governance

The BSN General Council is made up Heads of Institutions or their appointed representatives, headed by a Chairperson that is elected from and by members of the Governing Council. The Governing Council will have responsibility for the general policy directions and decisions, strategic planning, general approval of programs and activities, and general funding approval and budget of the BSN. All matters regarding the BSN Governing Board will be determined and decided at the BSN Governing Council Meeting (GCM).

A BSN Scientific Committee is made up of representative from each participating university. This committee has responsibility over the formulation, development, approval, activities and projects in line with the vision and mission of the BSN, especially relating to education and research in Borneo Studies. BSN SCM is an annual event that hosted by BSN Secretariat and the annual meeting may sometimes co-host with Members University, by rotation.
