About Conference
A warm welcome to all participants of the 3rd Borneo Studies Network (BSN) Conference, that will take place from 3 to 4 June 2025, in the beautiful land of Brunei. This year’s theme ‘Smart City Transformation, Biodiversity and Green Supply Chain in Borneo’ resonates powerfully with the current global efforts towards sustainable development. The conference will witness the participation of the academicians, universities, professionals and civil officers gathering on a regional platform to explore visionary strategies and future opportunities.
This theme not only reflects the global agenda but also highlights Borneo’s unique role in pioneering sustainable solutions through the integration of smart city innovations, preservation of biodiversity, and the development of green supply chains. Moreover, this theme aligns seamlessly with the five BSN Research Clusters: Borneo Biodiversity, Borneo Cultural Heritage and Ethinic Groups, Borneo Sustainable Community and Transformation, Borneo Renewable Material Science and Energy, as well as Borneo Economy and Banking. Together, let’s inspire dialogue and ignite collaborations that will propel Borneo and beyond towards a more sustainable and prosperous future. Objective of the Conference
The central aim is to provide opportunity to mobilise scholars, researchers, students and professionals to share facts and findings related to the theme. Expecting to mostly focus on education and research discoveries which may address the modern and contemporary issues within the five BSN research clusters, definitely they will uncover ways to harness strategies, expertise and resources across the huge spectrum of experiences and knowlegde. The outputs from this conference will contribute to enhance sustainable future applications through sustainable resources and smarter solutions.
