Borneo Biodiversity
The Borneo Biodiversity Research group has diverse interests in, but not liited to, flora and fauna, tropical ecology, biodiversity and conservation, and its importance and impact to local communities within Borneo which holds a wealth of natural resources in both its tropical rain forests, marine and aquatic ecosystems. This group is open to work and collaborate with scientists, practitioners and students.
Borneo holds various ethnicity groups with vast cultural and heritage backgrounds which are interesting and worth exploring for research and knowledge. This group is open to work and collaborate with scientists, practitioners and students.

Borneo Youth Leadership Camp (BYLC)
The BYLC is an annual event designed to empower the youth from across the Borneo region. The main objective of this camp is to provide a unique platform for youths from BSN Member Universities to develop their leadership skills, think dynamically and contribute to sustainable development of the Borneo region and beyond. It focuses on themes decided by the host university such as environment, sustainability, cultural appreciation, leadership development and more. Participants engage in a range of activities, including lectures and seminars, discussions, field trips and cultural exchanges, all aimed at fostering a positive spirit and collaboration.

Young Researcher Workshop (YRW)
The YRW is an initiative aimed at fostering collaboration and innovation among graduates and emerging scholars in the region. The workshop aims to advance knowledge and address pressing issues relevant to Borneo’s unique cultural, environmental and socio-economic landscape by providing a platform for young researchers to present their work, receive constructive feedback and engage in meaningful discussions with peers and experts. Participants have the opportunity to enhance their research skills, expand their professional networks and explore interdisciplinary approaches to Borneo related studies.

Through educational programmes and participatory projects, BSN strives to empower communities, preserve cultural heritage and promote sustainable development. This collaborative approach ensures the research in grounded in local realities and benefits the community.
BSN Space
BSN Space emerged as an online platform for students during the Covid19 pandemic, fostering dynamic and interactive learning environment despite the challenges of remote education. It provided a virtual space where students could engage with their peers and instructors, participate in collaborative projects, and access a wealth of educational resources.
The platform’s user-friendly interface and robust features ensures that learning remained uninterrupted and engaging, helping students stay connected and motivate. Through BSN Space, the sense of community and academic support was maintained, making it an indispensable tool for education during the unprecedented times.
